Jane Turner in progress..

I started this ambitious sampler quite a long time ago, but, as usual, got distracted by other things...I also find I have to be able to give it my full attention while stitching so as not to make mistakes in the double running bands...also there are stitches on it I haven`t attempted yet, that I will definitely have to practice on my doodle cloth first...like trellis and spiral trellis..(I have to admit, spiral trellis scares the bejeebers out of me)...I really have to get back to her though...I will take her along with me to Colorado this winter, and hopefully make some real progress. The top picture is the back, and the other one is the front...does anyone know how to get Blogger to let you put pics where you want?

Love this one. I have been reading your blogs for a long time and enjoy reading about the samplers that you pick. I love the lady in the middle. This one looks like it will be a worthwhile challenge.

MJ, you've done a great job of stitching this piece. The strong colors are fabulous! Can't wait to see your future progress. I love the antique reproduction samplers more than anything.
Hugs,
Deb

I am IMPRESSED!! Your back is as good as the front. I have to strive for this sort of perfection. I number of years ago I was very fortunate if seeing two samplers that were of this age and were family samplers from a lady living here in K-W. I was in awe that anyone would own two such gorgeous pieces. Thank you so very very much for sharing.
