Anyway she asked me if I wanted to see this sampler of hers and I said yes. It had never been framed and was in excellent condition. The date on the piece was 1710! How's that for a very lovely gift? Did you ever see the Canadian version of Antiques Road Show? The one where the woman bought a gorgeous sampler at an auction near Halifax?
