I borrowed this book from my local library the other day. I was firstly very surprised to find it (I haven`t had much luck looking for needlework books at the library) and then enthralled when I opened it. What an exciting find! Tips on designing your own samplers...ideas for adapting existing patterns...instructions for many different stitches...inspiration on every page! I just ordered one from Amazon for $4.oo! (used). If you love stitching samplers you should check this one out!

Isn't it great when you find treasure unexpectedly? Enjoy your find, mj.
Looks like a great book. Hmm, I wonder if UK Amazon stocks it???
Always fun to find treasures in the library! And then to locate a used copy -- most excellent : )
Wow, that looks like a great find. I love that house on the cover, I could move right in!
Hope you had a nice Christmas.
You might look into interlibrary loan. I know that Chicago has a lot of great stitchery books and you can take them out for free through your local library. Ask your librarian.
Have you made any of the designs yet?
