This is the cover of a German pattern book published in 1882, by Dr Julius Lessing, Director of the Royal Industrial Museum in Berlin. The patterns are beautiful...but just look at this cover! Doesn`t it make you just want to frame it? I think it`s just gorgeous!The book is quite rare, but Jaqueline of Needleprint owns one, and has made patterns available from it for download.
Every day I thank the heavens for the internet....it has made the world of stitching accessible with just a few clicks. It brings stitchers and information together in a way that was never possible before computers.
I have moved to Colorado, and with Christmas coming, I just haven`t had time to post any progress pics. I do try to put in a few stitches no matter how busy I am though. It keeps me sane!

It is beautiful, isn't it. And yes, the internet is wonderful for us stitchers - when I think of how much I discovered since I started surfing, the mind boggles.
