How beautiful is this???

This is the cover of a German pattern book published in 1882, by Dr Julius Lessing, Director of the Royal Industrial Museum in Berlin. The patterns are beautiful...but just look at this cover! Doesn`t it make you just want to frame it? I think it`s just gorgeous!

The book is quite rare, but Jaqueline of Needleprint owns one, and has made patterns available from it for download.

Every day I thank the heavens for the internet....it has made the world of stitching accessible with just a few clicks. It brings stitchers and information together in a way that was never possible before computers.

I have moved to Colorado, and with Christmas coming, I just haven`t had time to post any progress pics. I do try to put in a few stitches no matter how busy I am though. It keeps me sane!

Keep stitching ladies, and have a very Merry Christmas!

Have a little Faith...

Well, although I haven`t been blogging about the Plymoth Jacket Project lately, I have been following it`s making. Named 'Faith', the Jacket is finished!!! Three years in the making (has it really been that long???) and the results are stunning!
If you haven`t visited the blog that tells the story of the creation of this gorgeous jacket, grab a cup of tea and read here.
Til next time, keep stitching ladies!

Colleen!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh boy...I have had a brain fart again. It seems I deleted the name and addy of the winner of the Treasures in Needlework. I have been moving, tidying up, tossing things out, and it seems I had the not so brilliant idea of cleaning out my emails (even gmail has it`s storage limits!). I seem to have ...er-hem...cleaned it out too well, as I don`t have your addy anymore. Please contact me again Colleen...or if anyone out there knows Colleen, please tell her of my (not so) unusual stupidity. I will be soo glad when I get to Colorado. I may sleep for a week...

No stitchy updates, though I have been sneaking a minute here and there to stitch. My camera is packed, along w/ most of my stitching supplies. I just have to remember to pack my undies (priorities, don`t you know!)

Keep stitching ladies!
