Some stitching progress at last...

I have been stitching a lot the last month or so. I feel much better than I did, so now I can concentrate a bit. Here is Star Spangled Quilt.

I am regretting stitching the borders in straight 'up and down' satin...I should have slanted my stitches, the coverage would have been better. I may frog the borders and re-do them, but it`s a lot of stitching...I am also not thrilled with the way the metallic is turning out in the star in the corner. I may have to do something else there...

This is a lovely piece. Who is the designer? I did one by Laura Perrin that had straight satin stitches in the border and I had the same reaction I wish I had slanted them for better coverage. I look forward to seeing it finished.

This is also by Laura J Perrin, but I changed the border a bit. Thanks!
