The kindness of strangers...

Awhile ago I recieved an email from a fellow blogger regarding a post I had made here ages ago about the Loara Standish sampler. She very kindly is sending me the pattern for Loara! I am so pleased to be able to stitch Loara finally...I have admired her for years. The kit is too much for my budget, even on ebay, where there have been only a few for sale in the last couple of years. I am overwhelmed by her generosity...

I am back to working on Grateful Heart, and will have an update pic soon.

Until next time, keep stitching ladies!

Oh, my goodness--that is a treasure! I've kept my eyes open for that, and also for Frances Burwell. Looking forward to seeing you work on Loara!

Now that's a gift! What a sweet thing for a blogging friend to do. I also want to compliment you on your finish on Mary Wigham. I think your color changes are great. The one motif and color that really got me was that carnation...stringey and an awful color to begin with...you made it pretty. Phew!! I think I can appreciate it that way.... Hugs, Deb

What a generous gift! And a beautiful sampler. Are you going to use the colours as shown, or did you plan some changes?

MJ...what a lucky lady you are! I have been crossing my fingers for years that the Loara Standish sampler would someday be available in pattern only!!

Love your blog and your beautiful handwork!

Until later...
HAPPY STITCHIN'

Now that is a true friend. I have also had that on my list to obtain since I learned about it the year prior to Joanne Harvey teaching it at Williamsburg but was unable to go back the following year. I will anxiously await your progress posts when you start Lora.
